The Family of SPC Nathan Henning has requested the Patriot Guard Riders to Welcome Home their Hero on 21 JAN 10.

SPC Henning has been in the Army for 5 years and is returning to SW FL along with his wife, Ashley and daughter to return to school using his GI benefits studying Criminal Justice and get a degree prior to returning to the service. His MOS is Infantry, his job is stryker dismount/grenadier. He served with the 3-2 Stryker Cavalry Regiment. Nathan has been stationed at Fort Benning, GA, Fort Lewis, WA, and in Vilseck, Germany as well as 15 months deployment in Iraq. SPC Henning received the Army Commendation Medal in SEPT 08, the Citation reads as follows:

For meritorious services as a grenadier during operation Iraqi Freedom 07-09 SPC Henning's hard work, dedication, attention to detail, and selfless service greatly contributed to the successful mission. His actions are in keeping with the finest of military traditions and reflect great credit upon himself, Hawk Company, 3rd Squadron (Wolfpack) 2 SCR Dragoons and the United States Army.
