Motorcycle evangelist Thor Drake is at it again, taking art and motorcycle culture in new, unexpected directions. The curator of the One Motorcycle Show in Portland, Drake's take on "custom" has little to do with $30,000 paint jobs and chrome overdose, and everything to do with thrift, creativity and expression. The 21 Helmets Art Show iterated this theme pairing 21 artists from the Northwest with blank, white Bell Custom 500 helmets as the canvas. The results are as varied and interesting as the artists who made them.
