Hello, Im new to Bikers postbut not new to being hit by a car while riding.July23 i was on a ride with best friend trying to celebrate my birthday when it was almost my last one due to a dumb driver. Was nort bound on rt15 when a car turned across the highway infront of me causing me to t-bone the passanger side pf her car. Thank God was only doing around 35but even at that speed it shattered my right jaw, cheek bone smashed all my teeth out and fractured my right foot.I ride a 74 Ironhead or did ride a Ironhead it ripped forks right off the frame. But the good Lord was watching over me that day cause im still alive. To all brothr and sister bikers WATCH OUT FOR DUMB DRIVERS!!!!!!

Yes there is a God. This I can vouche for,,, as can many other people. (smilin`).

Some people in my life,,,, think I am as wacked as can be,,,, when I pull out my Bible wherever I am. I carry it like some people carry their cell phones. (Use to have a cell,,, now too poor to have one)

At work,,, some people take a cig break,,, I take a Bible break. Hehehe,,,

But,,,, there are drivers out there for sure,,,, that DON`T HAVE A BRAIN !!! If they are not looking,,,, which they are not,,, If they hit a bike,,, etc. Then they are most likely to also hit another car. Or a child on a bicycle,,, Everyone is in too much of a hurry,,,, for what ?? To kill someone or themselves ?? I don`t care how many horns in this world blow because I slowed down or waited for someone else to be able to get somewhere "safely",,,,

Again thanks for saying "hello" earlier too ( Penny)

I hear you on that May 16th my Husband and I were riding home after getting together with friends to show off some pictures of a big ride we did the day before. Normally we would have gone home a more direct route but they were instaling red light cameras and the were divits in the road not friendly to bikes. We had a young 18 year old pull out in front of us saying she did not see our tiny bike. Funny how someone behind bushes in a gas station could see us but her out in the open could not. My husband shattered his right arm and lower right leg also had contusions on his lungs. After his surgery that was 4 days later he spent one week in the ICU on a ventilator. He is slowly recovering but will never have full use of his right limbs. We have one of the best lawyers in California when it come to motorcycles and he is going to take care of us. We have found the truck she was driving was registered to a business and she and her father have repeatedly lied about it.
