Bikes
Well, I've been riding since 1970. Mostly off-road, but with time spent on pavement, too. I'm pretty much a bike-junkie, love the older classic bikes, because that's what I was around mostly, growing up. But older bikes run and handle like older bikes do, so as far as riding goes, I'll take a newer bike, anyday. I like sport, sport-touring, or adventure bikes, not much into the cruisers, or want to jump on the " buy a new Harley, then buy every accessory in the Harley-Davidson store to go along with my new Harley" bandwagon. That might be fine for some, but it's not me. I take a casual approach to riding motorcycles. I just wanna ride. It's hard to explain to someone who's never ridden, what it feels like to ride. Did that come out right?
I'm fortunate, three of my four grown children are avid motorcyclists, as are their children. In raising my children we spent many weekends either at the motorcycle races, where they competed, or on weekend camp out trail rides. Conversation at the dinner table usually centered around the subject of bikes. It was what we did.
I hope to keep riding till I'm off to Valhalla, it's been an awesome time and my life has been greatly enriched by the experience. If ya made it this far, thanks for letting me vent.
