Hi All! Here's a quick update! Day 1-3 was basicaly our "Speed Run" to get to SC to meet up with Kelly and Mark at my Dad's.
Day One...Greenport NY to Pocomoke City MD. 360 mi. Saddle time, 7.3 hrs. Day total, 11 hrs.
Adrenilin was high. Waited so long to get going! Started out with dense fog, so we put off leaving a bit. LIE was unbelievably uneventful, GWB was believably backed up for an hour. Could have walked across faster.
NJ TPK was good, but had to wait…

OMG! All of a sudden, IT"S HERE! We leave Sat AM.
All those months of thinking, "where do we go, where do we stay?" Days of searching routes on maps, thinking OK, this looks good, then changing it and starting all over again. What do we need? What can we do without? How will we fit it? Did I do everything? Do I have everything? I'm exhausted, and haven't even left the driveway, LOL!
Well, I think I'm pretty well prepared, and anything I forgot, thank…

To all my friends here at BP, and to any of those who are interested, we're only 6 days away from our 1st real "Bucket List Trip" with the bikes. Tick-Tock, Tick-Tock, Tick-Tock! I'm already packed teehee! We have 2wks. Expecting to do 2,500+ mi. The most we've done is 1,000 mi. in 5 days.

kjconrad said… Hey Sally. Thanks for the kind words. I simply love riding and wanted to find a way to describe the feeling. There are more and more of us who share the passion. Am heading to Old Forge in June with my Vic riders club. Not sure what part of the state you are in, but would love to say hi and put a face with an online friendship! If you're ever headed down this way, let me know. Would love to show you the great riding roads we have here. 55 degrees tomorrow here - hope you get some of the same and have a chance to ride soon. Be safe and love life!

kjconrad said… Thanks for the friend add! Gorgeous Vics and Mustang! Two of a kind... I have an '08 Shelby GT convertible and of course my Vic, too (have to admit the Vic sees the road a lot more than the Mustang, lol) . Nothing like a Victory, and nothing like a Mustang!!! Be safe and have a blast!

I understand what yer sayin about getting "comfortable with it". A bike can look all purdy and such. But its also gotta fit its rider.
Hi there Sally and I'm glad you liked the pix. Always good to make new friends on BP. Ride safe, girl.
