Watch Out For Bikers

Comment by Big Al on November 26, 2011 at 12:22pm Tim, the Blue Ridge Parkway is definitely a great ride, one we've done several times between Routes 211 and somewhere down south to come back through Orange VA (where Waugh H-D is). I'll add Laurel Springs to the list.
Big Al, you have a great road to get almost all the way there, the Blue Ridge Parkway. Make Laurel Springs a layover and stay at Freebornes, if not definately stop and check them out..just saying.... (www.freebornes.com/).
Comment by Big Al on November 24, 2011 at 8:58pm My wife wants to ride this road (on the back of my Fatboy) soon - maybe next year? I think I'll need 3 days to do it, with two of those days used just in getting down there and back home to Northern Virginia. I do believe it will be worth it though.
Comment by Nasty on November 24, 2011 at 11:28am OMG, yes we loved that ride. We road 500 miles a day for thrre days to get there. Loved every second of it. Didn't have time to riding anythinf but the "Tail". There are several other rides in the erea we plan on riding some day. The "Tail od the Dragon" was a reall thrill. We were there in June of 2011, perfect weather. A recommend ride.

Comment by SAS Mayhem on November 23, 2011 at 11:44pm I fact my pic here was taken at the Dragon, I live about 3.5 hours away but try to make it up there every 3 day week I get. I very very bike friendly place. And if you stay in Robinsville, the Microtel is also a great place to stay. Side note, most of that area is dry,
Cheers
Ron

My husband, myself and some friends rode the Dragon in May of 2007. We had a wonderful time during this trip. I can't wait to go back and do it all again.
