After being a passanger for a few years I 'dumped the guy...and lost my ride' :( I loved riding as a passenger and at 45 years old, decided it was time for me to step it up and get my license. I took the course, got my license and may have decided…Continue

I've a sneaking suspicion that the vast majority of women riders are not only over 45 but are also relatively new to riding or driving their own machine. How old were you when you finally got your own and learned to ride it.? I was 49.... I put it…Continue

I am sorry to say that my BFF and riding buddy was taken by mesothelomia (lung cancer due to asbestos exposure) on Friday, 3/30/12. She fought for a year after dx and never gave up. She called her bike "Blue Butterfly" and I believe she rode into heaven on the wings of her blue butterfly. RIP Donna Marie - we sure miss you!

I had my carpal tunnel surgery this a.m. It was minimally invasive type and should heal quickly. I'm already bummed that I won't be riding for a couple wks.
We are riding over to the East Coast of Florida on Sunday to visit friends who are on vacation near Daytona. It will be nice to have a road trip just the 2 of us.
Comment by jules on February 11, 2012 at 3:28pm It has been kind of quiet here lately. For people who are able to ride during the winter, where have you been riding and how is your winter so far?
We rode to Sarasota to Thunder by the Bay Bike event and enjoyed nice riding weather. Daytona Bike Week is coming next month and we hope to ride over and stay one night.
Mustang Sally - Doing any maintenance on your bike by yourself IS great! Really gives you confidence. Last Friday I accidentally left the key on all day at work. Hubby brought the portable jumper & showed me how to do it. Thank goodness I paid attention because the short ride home wasn't enough to fully charge the battery. He had to work Sunday and friends wanted to ride. I was able to jump start my battery all by myself. Doesn't sound like much but I was proud and happy I didn't miss the ride.
Hi everyone, been on the side line for awhile. Got my hand and wrist hurt at work, better now, but have not been on my trike, but three times after buying. So, hope to hit the road, soon. Hope everyone is getting to ride
