Gettysburg sounds fun...never went for the bike rally.30 miles for me to get there. Great visitor center!!!! How many in your group? Have you ever rode along rt 6 in northern PA? Goes east to west....look at a map.then look for Couldersport. we are there every year. the weekend after the 4th

@Bill, sounds like fun down at York. Thing about Gettysburg is it's HUGE with a capital H. Hundreds of paved roads take you right up to all the monuments. Riding it slow and repectful feels like your on horse back with a 360 view of it all. Two days last year and still didn't do it all. Eisenhower's farm adjoins the park and 'sposed to open for tours this season. Nice folks everywhere around the place too.

Russ, Never been to the gettysburg bike thing. Heard about it tho. York Bike Nite is a pretty big event. I think it's the last Friday in Sept. To be sure Google YCHDOA and look at the calender of events. I know what you mean about Marylands roads. To this day they are some of the nicest, well kept roads around, But now you need a lid.

@Wild Bill. Years ago (decades actually) Bill. My brother lived in Blackrock just outside of Lancaster. Use to love crossing into Maryland just to ride without a helmet (MD had no law back then). That was just riding the area and dodging amish buggies! Never did get to the final assembly plant though.

That run you made in Northumberland might'a been the 'BigHouse' Run. We made that one too. Was HUGE, runs about 100 miles too.
