Comment by Chrome Spokeswoman on September 3, 2011 at 1:50pm I am ready for some cooler weather to ride in. Working this weekend but hoping we can spend Monday riding.
Comment by WarHawg on September 3, 2011 at 1:44pm Labor Day weekend already! Hope we have a mild fall and winter.
Welcome Chrome Spokeswoman! I have a Yamaha VStar 650 Silverado, but I'm in the process of selling it as I recently bought a Harley Sportster 883 Superlow. The VStar is a beautiful bike and pretty comfortable to ride, but it was just too hard for me to manuever..I always felt like I was going to drop it. I imagine most of it was just a lack of confidence being a fairly new rider (I've had my MC endorsement a little over a year now). I look forward to reading about your rides on your blog.
Comment by Chrome Spokeswoman on August 9, 2011 at 10:58pm Hi everyone! I started riding three years ago, some say its a mid life crisis thing, if so I'm really enjoying my mid life crisis. I didn't want to ride on the back I wanted my own. I ride a 650 V Star, my husband has a 1100. I have been in tourism for over 17 years and know the sights and a lot of back roads in Oklahoma. I'm enjoying rediscovering them on my bike and have just started a blog www.chromespokeswoman.com which is dedicated to Oklahoma rides and may occasionally throw in a few rides in other states.
finally rain in OKC...
Comment by RDMassey on July 30, 2011 at 4:24pm I am in for rides as soon as I get a bike. I am currently east of OKC about 30 minutes; Moving to the City in 2 months or so. We don't mind short or all day runs.
Comment by RDMassey on July 30, 2011 at 4:20pm If I am in the right forum to ask, I am looking to buy a vtx1300 (touring) if I can find it in about 30 days. Looking for a good running bike under $3000 (hopefully) I am east of OKC about 30 minutes. Thanks for any replys.
