Watch Out For Bikers
Ok I need to rant, If you do not ride a motorcycle I do not expect you to understand. When you see a bike stopped stay the hell out of it's lane. Wake your ass up and get off of your cell phone and change lanes BEFORE you get 10 ft from my ass and have to swerve and go around me in "MY LANE". Even though it's a motorcycle it has rights to the ENTIRE lane. If you get close enough to me that I can kick your car I WILL.
Ok I'm done now.

Only a well-placed punch to the sliding door behind the driver helped get her attention. Gloves with carbon-fiber knuckles leave a nice dent.

Need more info about your rant. You say you were stopped "in your lane." As in a traffic light, or stop sign? Or were you stopped in the lane of travel? If in the lane of travel you have no reason to be there. If it won't run, push it off the travel portion of the roadway.

A Harley sticker on the back of the cage means nothing. Most of them with Harley stickers on the back are wannabe's that don't actually own bikes.
Permalink Reply by Tomcat51 on February 12, 2012 at 11:34am I have told new riders since the 70's that if you don't "claim your lane" , they will take it! I choose which tire track to ride in depending on the traffic around me, also waaaay to many riders choose to ride right in the center of the lane, this is the OIL Lane and you will find out why you shouldn't ride there!
I also really truly watch out for bikers in my car, and I also ride like everyone is not paying attention to me on my bike. It is my "video game' on the road...You can't lose though cause You do not get any "extra lives".

Well, here's something else to remember when we are driving our cages... I always try to remember the stuff folks do when I'm riding my bike... You know, stop too close to the bike when at a stop sign, crowd the bike when he's turning, turn left in front of an oncoming bike, follow too close in traffic, when the bike moves over to turn, don't slide up beside it.... All the things that piss us off when we're riding... I have caught myself doing these very things... and STOPPED DOING IT!
Be aware, be courteous, allow more following distance (I've had folks follow me too close and when they went around... had a Harley sticker in the back window), look more than once before turning and just in general, be good drivers! Care a little more, give a little more. You might save someone's life...

Permalink Reply by nickdanger on April 16, 2012 at 3:20pm HA at one of the buildings I used to work in the VP would park his Benz straddling the line so no one would park next to him, I ALWAYS looked for his car first just so I could park in the half spot he left, and I usually made sure I parked close enough to his door that he couldnt open it all the way... it was the only thing that made me happy about going to that particular location.

I've had people purposely park so they take up half of the parking spot I'm in. They figure my bike doesn't take up the hole space so they can use the empty portion and keep people from hitting their car. Last time that happened I asked the guy to move and he rudely told me his thoughts. I wonder if he's bought a new rear wiper arm for his brand new Escalade yet; if not I know where he can find the original.
If you get close enough to me that I can kick your car I WILL.
That's exactly what I do! I then yell at them, "You hit me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
