Ok I need to rant, If you do not ride a motorcycle I do not expect you to understand. When you see a bike stopped stay the hell out of it's lane. Wake your ass up and get off of your cell phone and change lanes BEFORE you get 10 ft from my ass and have to swerve and go around me in "MY LANE".  Even though it's a motorcycle it has rights to the ENTIRE lane. If you get close enough to me that I can kick your car I WILL.

  Ok I'm done now.

I totally agree and have kicked a car.  Good thing for steel toe caps. I have also had my passenger knock on windows -- that gives them a wake up call as well.

I've been tempted to put spikes on my gloves so I can drag my knuckles down the side of the next Beamer that decides he can pass me in my own lane.  I don't know about knocking about windows though.  It might scare them, and they might swerve towards you.

F***** A.....PEOPLE IN CAGES SUCK!!!!

I've had people purposely park so they take up half of the parking spot I'm in.  They figure my bike doesn't take up the hole space so they can use the empty portion and keep people from hitting their car.  Last time that happened I asked the guy to move and he rudely told me his thoughts.  I wonder if he's bought a new rear wiper arm for his brand new Escalade yet; if not I know where he can find the original.

Well, here's something else to remember when we are driving our cages... I always try to remember the stuff folks do when I'm riding my bike... You know, stop too close to the bike when at a stop sign, crowd the bike when he's turning, turn left in front of an oncoming bike, follow too close in traffic, when the bike moves over to turn, don't slide up beside it.... All the things that piss us off when we're riding... I have caught myself doing these very things... and STOPPED DOING IT!

Be aware, be courteous, allow more following distance (I've had folks follow me too close and when they went around... had a Harley sticker in the back window), look more than once before turning and just in general, be good drivers! Care a little more, give a little more. You might save someone's life...

Need more info about your rant.  You say you were stopped "in your lane."  As in a traffic light, or stop sign?  Or were you stopped in the lane of travel?  If in the lane of travel you have no reason to be there.  If it won't run, push it off the travel portion of the roadway.

A Harley sticker on the back of the cage means nothing.  Most of them with Harley stickers on the back are wannabe's that don't actually own bikes.

Hope you feel better...you are right....just be careful kicking, if you catch their bumper, the dumbass may drag you 500 yards before they realize something is wrong!

More than once, I've had someone pass me on a multi-lane road using part of my lane to make the pass. The lazy ass could have moved on over to his side of the dotted lines. It wasn't tough to do. But NO !!! He's gotta scare the crap outta me by having one side of his car in my lane as he passes. I certainly do wish I'd had those spiked gloves Jay mentioned.

You all know you can't do those things you would like to do to that inconsiderate cager. Damaging someones property can get in you trouble with the law. I know how you feel, I've been there but remember courtesy is contageous. Many cagers have had bad experiences with bikers and may be part of the reason they don't show us respect. What goes around comes around.

I can honestly say I try my best to make things go smoothly for anyone near me, on foot, in a cage or on my Harley. I have also had my share of road rage over idiots who are either not paying attention or are just plain rude. But every now and again I screw up too. It's usually because I am tired or upset about something. I want to find a hole and crawl in it. When this happens, and I mean once in a year or two,  I tell myself to remember this incident when someone else does it. It sometimes feels like no one is driving or riding alert but really it is one person in a thousand that I share the road with and I know that sometimes it's me. It's a humbling feeling and I wish it lasted longer.....

Should we all carry ball bearings with us, and yes I am getting really pissed off of getting run off the road ;one time after the bitch looked right at me and turned in my lane.
