Watch Out For Bikers
I wanna start a movement
Back in the day when I was young and dinosaurs roamed the earth, I remember it being all about the ground beneath your feet and the wind in your hair. The unity with your fellow bikers was like having extended friends around the country for the simple love of riding your motorcycle.
WTF HAPPENED? Today it seems that biking has became a damn fashion show, an exclusive club, where if you haven't spent $20.000 on your bike, you are excluded.
I have been riding since 1975,and in those days it didn't matter how much money you had, what you rode, or who you hung with. I have ridden thousands of miles with people I had just met and became dear friends with for the simple love of the ride. Back then even MC's would not pass a broke down bike without sending someone back to check on them and offer assistance.If you had an extra sandwich in your bags, you shared it as well as any beer or weed you were holding.
My point is, It was different then, it was about sharing, caring and above all riding. So I wanna start a movement, I want to see people who ride Harleys unashamed to be seen with people who ride Hondas. I wanna see strangers hooking up to ride to the rally together. I want you to stop and help a biker in need and for them to stop and help you. I wanna share my sandwich with you and share your beer as we plan our next ride. I wanna see guys in thousand dollar riding suits hanging out with folks in 100 dollar leathers. I want Unity and Harmony, just as it was. Will you join me?

Every time I ride and pass another rider I always wave. Some will most don't.
I'm going to wave hi no matter what bike you are on or if you have a MC patch on your back.

I ride with anyone who wants to ride. I will pull up beside you and ride a long side of you for as far as the miles will go. If its a short juant or 100's of miles. If you want to stop and grab a bite or a drink let me know. I'll stop and shake your hand and give you a hug. If you are stopped on the side of the road out of gas, I'll give you some of mine. You are my brother and sister. Lets Ride.

I'm with you -i ride mine everyday to work and on weekends i take the wife "out to lunch" -usually 100 + miles to ride and enjoy the bike with her .During the week i do stop in and have a beer before heading home -and low and behold ,there are " leathered up " riders getting stupid drunk . They want me to stay and drink with them -i tell them i am riding so i will have only one -then get on the bike and head out .They have some snide remark about a "real biker" would never refuse to get drunk with fellow riders . I ride for me -not them and i would rather ride than sit in a bar and lie to eachother about riding -I JUST DO IT !

Exactly tell the war stories around the campfire while out on weekend road trip. I like you ride for everyday transport, on weekends either my wife or grandson is on the pillion.

Filling up my bike today when a guy rolls up on his HD sportster and says sarcastically i like your plastic Indian(Referencing my Metric motorcycle) as he fumbled with the small teardrop tank that had broken away from its mounting point.(My rebuttal) At least my gas tank isn't hanging off.I helped him tie the tank down to the frame with his bandanna so he could get it back home.We both had a great laugh about it.I never walk away from a brother or sister biker in need regardless of their choice of brand.

In my opinion a bike is a bike no matter if its a scooter or wayyyyy up to a hog. I use a scooter for in town rideing , get 125 mi. per gallon, rather pay $4 dollars then 80 and up to fill my van. Have had bikers give me thumbs up when going past or been down right rude, but no matter if they were in trouble i would stop to help. Its not just cause they are bikers as i am cause i have bigger one for highway rideing , its called Manners !! Something alot of people have forgotten about that our parents tried to instill in us as kids. Anyway you all ride safe and be leary of anything bigger then you and your bike !!
