HAIRY biker Simon King was left holding the baby when he opened a new medical training facility in Tyneside.

The star got more than he bargained for when he officially launched Gateshead’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital’s new Clinical Skills Simulation Area, where employees learn techniques using realistic simulation equipment.

The facility includes a bay which can replicate an operating theatre, A&E or intensive care unit, and a bedded ward area where full-size computer-controlled patient simulation dolls are used for students and staff to recreate important medical scenarios.
