Watch Out For Bikers
The first Ghost Rider had Nicolas Cage zooming enjoyably about the place as Johnny Blaze, a flaming demon on his mighty motorbike, collecting damned souls for Satan – his side of a bargain he once sealed with the Evil One who undertook to cure his dad's cancer. Now Blaze is back for more throbbing daemonic adventures in 3D; he briefly reminds us of the fact that he did all this for his ailing father, but just as before, his dad's subsequent existence is of absolutely zero interest. There's less engine power in this sequel, and the original's healthy, dark humour is in short supply.

Just saw it yesterday, they changed a LOT of things. I definitely could have done without the 3d, it seemed to make some of the action scenes jerky and out of sorts. They introduced a new tidbit of info about the Rider. I admit I never read the comic, so I don't know if this new info is in keeping or not. It made him appear more psycho! All in all, it wasn't bad. Apparently he can make other vehicles become fire-breathing beasts, too.
I'm not sure if I imagined it, but I could have sworn the intake on his bike kept switching sides, too! I saw this on the regular bike (V rod), not his "Hell" bike.
Permalink Reply by maytag on February 18, 2012 at 2:01pm Haven't seen the movie yet, just the ads. But I thought it was a V-wad. They should have kept the Pan.
I liked the original, I'll just have to see about the sequel.
They used a Yamaha V-Max for his bike. There is an intake on both sides. It's not a V-Rod.

Permalink Reply by JediRider on February 18, 2012 at 5:06pm All righty then, I stand corrected! I don't claim to be an expert on manufacturers or models, that was what I thought it was. I think they should have kept the chopper, personally. They should not have messed with the Rider's mannerisms, either. Don't want to give away for those who have not seen.

I haven't seen the movie; I just knew that from an article I read.
If you are going to post on this site I expect that you be an expert on all makes and models. You need to know how to expertly dissect a Norton while simultaneously rebuilding a shovel head. If you cannot do both at the same time you aren't a real biker.
Also, I am completely full of crap.
