Just curious....does anyone have a preference - going to the Pentagon or going into DC? I never thought to ask, but please let me know! :)

Great RT!! We'll be waiting for you! :) All Bikes will leave the HD store for the Pentagon at 8:30AM ....so I'm thinking we'll need to leave Cracker Barrel no later than 7-7:15AM to get in the line up. Bikers who chose NOT to ride into the Pentagon, are in the line up last and will break off and ride directly into DC. : )

I served in the U.S. Army for 21 years. I have participated in Rolling Thunder since 2006 and will be riding from East Coast Harley this year. It is awesome to see how many Americans support the Military.

THANKS to all of you for being apart of Rolling Thunder 2011!  This is only my 2nd ride, so I'm excited.  I went into DC and walked around the vendors and kept cool, but at least once I want to go into the Pentagon!  We all fight battles in our own daily lives, for me it's been a difficult road and so often I don't feel strong, but I do think that supporting and appreciating VETS and current Military personnel is what allows me to be here.  I'm so greatful!  Whether you will do the ride or show up to be apart of the group, I think its awesome!!  Grunchy....you're much tougher than I am... although I am a mom, so I semi tough! lol  THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!! :)

I've ridden in 10 Rolling Thunders to honor our military heroes but the organization of the event has deteriorated to the point that I can't bear to spend 6 hours in a hot parking lot with no shade in sight waiting to be released to ride.  Last year, I got into a heated verbal confrontation with a Park cop who thought that he knew the course route better than the riders.  It's just not as enjoyable as it used to be so I'll ride the metro down and honor our military sans bike.

This will be my 3rd year, the 2nd riding. This year will mean even more to me because not only am I a Soldier but my son, who will be riding with me, is leaving for basic training in June.

Not this year but i will be there in spirit. I love all of you and support you all the way. Really look forward to watching the ride through. I know they come from across the states. If you all happen to come through San Antonio Tx let me know I would love to meet some of you all. Rubber down chrome up.
